Yesterday I bought the latest Acronis Cyber and whoa was I surprised! I'm not a techie but I also had no problem using the earlier versions and still have the 2020 on a few of my pc and its quite simple. This newest version is above me.

Perhaps Im just getting old or still trying to get over the newest MS OS.

I sent out a pc that was under warranty and it came back with Win 10, what a load and I mean load.

Any other PC backup software available that is good and user friendly.

TIA

You could have a look at aomei backupper nice and straightforward but it does need the pro version for mounting an image.

No problem jjr. Those of us who are not there yet, will be someday.
It's now 2022 and I've been using the same Non-Windows Backup/Restore software since 1997.
It's simply called "Ghost". The original version would Boot up a PC from a DOS-boot floppy disk and would only work on FAT formatted disks.
Symantec acquired the program and altered it to work with NTFS drives, but it still ran in DOS. That was version 11.5, the same version I'm using today. It's a program that was way ahead of its time. It will copy / restore any readable hard disk, whether it contains DOS, Windows, Linux or just plain data with no OS at all. It really doesn't care. I can perform a "Partition to Image" to back up only the C:\ partition on my HD and save that either compressed or not compressed to any formatted hard disk, FD or CD.
Or, to clone a disk, I would choose the "Disk to Disk" option. It does make great Clones. In fact, that's what we used Ghost for back in 1997 when I worked in a small PC repair shop.

Originally I used Ghost to boot up a PC from a 3.5" Floppy Disk. I still have some of those disks. Then I ran Ghost from a Bootable CD, and later a Bootable SC Memory card.

Symantec abandoned Ghost several years ago, but it's still out there, floating around on the WWW (wild and wonderful web).

There is even a New & Improved version that will boot into a Windows Shell, and works great with SSD's. But looks and runs just like the older DOS version.

PM me if I can further help you.
