Hi all, hope this is in the right forum.

As the title says, can you copy folders, and paste them to another drive without the contents? Maybe with a hotkey, or some other way?

Reason I ask - I have 20 folders in a directory on my D drive. They are all full of a lot of content (100s of GB). I want those 20 folders all with the same names in a directory on my F drive. I am trying to avoid a) r-clicking and creating New Folder 20x, and then r-clicking and then renaming 20x, and trying to avoid b) copying all the folders with the contents, waiting for the c/p to finish, and then having to go into each folder to delete the contents.

Any way to feasibly manage this? Thanks!

You could use the xcopy command from a command prompt with the /T switch which would copy the directory structure but not the files.

Open a command prompt and navigate to the folder that contains those 20 folders then enter: xcopy *.* f:\ /T
