Any way to display powercfg status on desktop?

Does anyone here know of a utility that might display in the System Tray or on the Desktop that "Your computer won't sleep right now cuz a background process is at work".

My laptop is set to Sleep when the lid is closed, but sometimes when I close it expecting Sleep (which is otherwise instant) it just stays alive. To see what the issue is I have to open the lid, log into Windows again, wait for the desktop to appear, run cmd.exe, type powercfg -requests, and observe "oh that's what's running".

I was wondering if any here have ever seen a tool that I could just look at before closing my lid and see e.g. Green means Good to Go or Red means Ain't Gonna Sleep for you or some such.

I found this GitHub - Taoquitok/PowerShell-PowerCFG: PowerShell powercfg wrapper for logging application and driver power requests over on GitHub. It is a PowerShell script utility written by someone who was in a similar situation to yourself. Click on the Go to Files button to see the files on that site.
