Hello,
I was wondering if there is any way to get ctrl + left/right arrow working on the windows command prompt? If I could edit commands by searching for a word like we do in vi by using '?' or '/' characters, it would be even great. Also can I get ctrl + v paste working someway?

If you're willing to move to a Linux-like environment, install Cygwin on Windows. It's free.
It's a mostly complete Linux environment for Windows.
It has the command line capabilities you want ... with a proper shell (unlike the 1970s era command line abortion found in DOS/Windows).

The latest Preview Build of Windows 10 has a full implementaiion of the bash shell and some command line programs - the first thing I tried was vi, and it worked!
