Any Way to Rename 'Desktop >>' on Taskbar?

I recently discovered how to get the Desktop link on the Taskbar and am wondering if there is any way to rename how it appears on the Taskbar.

Since the two arrows are quite descriptive, I'd like to remove the 'Desktop' part, but I couldn't find anything addressing this.

Anyone know how to modify this link's appearance?

Try this: create a shortcut to the Desktop, which is a folder, and name that shortcut to suit you. Pin that shortcut to the taskbar. And, save that shortcut into your misc folder.
