Potential Spoiler!

Been playing Dead Space 3 for the last week and it's a fun game...until you run into the electrical engineering door locks. Here's an example of one (with frustration built-in)....

Anyway I find them extremely annoying and frustrating; and looking around the internet, I see I'm not the only one. I use a mouse and keyboard but read they're a lot easier to work using a game controller.

After that they get harder because they now require diagonal moves which requires you to hold down two move keys, in addition to using your mouse. And don't think about skipping them because they MUST be completed in order to move to required areas!

So, you could be moving along at a good pace and run into one of these asinine show stopping locks

Also, you'd better make sure your mouse surface is good or your mouse doesn't have any delays or else :mad::mad:

And I'm only up to chapter 11 so please, no "this is what happens next spoilers" please.

Anyone playing the game have any comments on this?

Thanks.

I actually thought those were quite easy. Later on they become a bit more complicated. Left hand, left circle and the mouse controls the right circle. Had to do both simultaneously as the timer gets faster and faster.

Quite a good brain exercise as you've got to concentrate and operate two separate things at the same time.

I played it and finished it 2 times now. First time was solo, then i did co-op the second time around. Didn't have much trouble with the locks. But in co-op each player has control of one of the sides so locks can either become easier or more difficult (all depending on who you are playing with). Keep at it and you will improve with them. Its a good game too. Make sure you let the credits play the whole way trough as there is something at the end you wont want to miss. Oh and a heads up the credits are hella long, but the credits in Crysis 3 were longer then Dead Space 3.

Yeah Quantum Physics is quite easy as well. Not that this is quantum physics, but easy is relative ;)

Anyway once you get the hang of them, they are quite easy. It's the initial encounter that can be quite frustrating ;)

Yep! mouse & keyboard commands are quite made of juggling, also have to use my gamepad in the outerspace! Those zombies coming around so fast, they're not that scary but bloody messy when dead. I haven't played DS before the 3rd opus, so can't comments on the story yet, though i do not mind the main line story in this one. Just enjoying being able to modified guns and armor.

So manies as bad as good comments from users forums.

The game is pretty good actually, though the story and atmosphere in the first game is far better.

Personally though I like the customization of the first game; made you better manage your resources. Even the second game is a little less forgiving than this one with regards to resources.

As for mouse and keyboard, they work, but you can clearly tell this game was ported. Thus it could really benefit from a gamepad, which I don't use.

That said, it is a fun game with a good story.

Peace.

Finished the game today "normal mode" and completed about 90%/98% to 100% of each episodes , plus the Dlc "Awakened". Can't finish 100% some episodes 'cause of Coop missions and left few artefacts and so on around.... Last episodes were quite hard to finish, lucky i boosted the Armor Rig and kept only two guns largely over-modified!

The story & relation ships between each crew members didn't bother that much and wasn't that terrible. Nice game though!
