Anyone Have An Asus A8N-SLI MB?

I messed up. My BIOS chip arrived in the mail, and I got so anxious to install it, that I popped the old one out before checking it's orientation. Even if I had, I'm not certain that it would have been the total answer, because the new chip appears to be generic and has a paper label that doesn't correlate to the old way the chip was labeled.

I looked at the motherboard in my primary rig, but it is a slightly different model of the board, and the socket itselt is set horizontal, instead of vertical like on the secondary.

If someone would look in the case and look closely to see if the chip is inserted so that the data can be read normally, or if it is upside down, it would help me to guess how to put the chip in. There is two ways that it will fit.

Nevermind, I found a large photo of the motherboard, so I know how it was originally, but I'm still not sure about the new chip because of the way that the label is applied. I sent an email to the vender that I bought the chip from, so I hope they can answer my question.

Does the printing on the motherboard have '1' or dot near one of the corners of the socket? That should line up with the triangle or chamfered corner of the new chip.

I have the A8n32-SLI, and the corner of the socket is chamfered just like the chip that is in it. Just line up those chamfers.

Thanks, there is neither a 1 or a dot on the board, but when you mentioned the chamfer, I looked closer at the chip and found a chamfer on it and the socket so I'm sure that they are supposed to match. I wouldn't have noticed otherwise, because the upper surface of the chip is just rectangular, but the little ridge below that the contacts are on is slightly chamfered.
