Anyone know how to *cough* bing or google headlines?

I want all the weekend headlines from a newspaper like the Financial Times for the period 1/1/2007 to 12/31/2009.

Any ideas?

Now, having failed miserably to accomplish that, I attempted to settled for less, using a search like this:

"central bank" +[worries | drastic | plunge] website:ft.com

which is not the same thing at all, but it might get me some basic information that I am looking for.

Still, I would like to specify the date range, especially if my search was different, say circa 1987, the months before and after the "crash". Google only allows date specifications on a search form (no specific keywords that I can find documented) and bing does not seem to allow specifying the range on it's form.

Furthermore, google returns all kinds of cr@p results unrelated to the ft.com website
and I haven't figured out how to specify limiting to a particular website or news source with bing.

Please pass on any tips you might have for ways to sift [headline] information from these garbage bins. Thanks!

You could add 3 keywords: 2007, 2008, 2009 in the "OR" fields (see tip at end of line). But that would require the date appears on the page and since many pages exclude the date, you may miss something. (If you want the date indexed by Google, I don't know if that information is available.)

Personally I do not use Bing, but since you mentioned it here you go. Use advanced search with Bing

Something I have noticed since my retirement from the Newspaper industry has been the addition of chargeable services on News-Information-Financial websites especially in the years you mention because of the hit these institutions have taken from the lack of advertising in their daily-weekly-monthly hard-copy publications.

Don't know about Bing, but on Google if you click "More search options" on the left hand side once you get your results, you can specify results from certain Dates. Not sure whether it does custom dates, but I know it has stuff like "results from the last year" so I'm sure if you modified the new search Parameters a little you could get that.
