Anyone know how to line bottom with gadgets?

I like my gadgets to be right along the taskbar at the bottom. If I hold down shift and move the gadget, I can place it there. But when I restart, Windows moves my gadgets to accommodate the padding. Does anyone know how to keep Windows from repositioning my gadgets in this situation? I have been searching for a registry setting, .ini setting, anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried with the auto-align to grid thing of, not sure if it's just icons or gadgets as well.
