Anyone know what 'ctmwatch.dll' is for?

It shows in 'msconfig' startup, also verbage shows 'startctmasteronoffwatch' and manufacturer is 'unknown'.

Expand the Command tab in the msconfig startup tab and see what it says.

You might want to do a full scan with Malwarebytes or MSE to be sure you don't have a virus/malware.

You could d/l Process Explorer and see if there are any unknown programs running....

I agree with the recommendation of Borg 386. CT Master appears to be a Mod for WOW (World of Warcraft) but that dll isn't found in search results.

It resides in 'c:\windows\system32' and is also in a file called 'Win64log.ini' along with 'CTAudEp.dll'.

Avira Premium Suite 2010 - shows nothing


I think I had WOW demo on here a few months ago to show the kid.

Could be from Creative Labs software.

ctaudep.dll is used by 'Audio Endpoint Selection'.This is an application created by 'Creative Technology Ltd'.

If you want, it looks like you can just disable it at startup and see if it has any adverse effects.

Another item you can run is Norton Power Eraser and see if that finds anything.
