Just recently dual booted my machine and while browsing around came across an article for the latest Mac Pro.
Its an oddd looking thing for sure, but I have to admit, it talks a very good game, I do this unwillingly as I refuse to be converted to apple.
It takes the shape of a black cylinder!
Specs sound very impressive indeed, 128GB of RAM, wonder how much of that will be usable in the end??
They have also gone back to AMD for their graphics cards, not too much of a surprise given the Nvidia driver situation which seems to have gotten as bad as AMD once was, new releases all the time.
PCI solid state storage also seems to be the latest trend operating extremely fast. Can't imagine what you could do with one of these machines, graphics design and high end video editing for films would be my best guess, they pack a significant processing, storage and memory punch.
Am sure PC is not too far away from these kind of specs either, have heard that 128GB RAM has been running on a PC, am sure eventually the processor will be in a self contained air condensing fridge freezer or something that will keep it very cool while making sure its dry, but no such innovation as yet to harness the real overclocking abilities of processors in extreme cool situations on consumer products.
Its worth a look, just to say, WTF, its a cool design...
