Hi everyone
My old Sony music player died on me -- so I bought (at a HUGE discount) a little tiny 8GB Sandisk Clip Zip (updated version of Sandisk clip+ with a slightly bigger screen -- good for older guys like me).

Really cheap -- with discount 35 EUR !!!!.

I took the 32 GB micro SD card I had in my mobile phone out and inserted it into the Sandisk -- Brilliant as it plays FLAC as well as the "other usual suspects". The player now recognizes 40 GB - as does the computer -- two disks - one Sandisk player and the internally mounted SD card as another external drive.

Note -- if taking the card out of an android phone -- ERASE it in the PHONE first before inserting it into the music player -- otherwise when accessing the card from the player it will hang. It's fine so long as you erase the SD card from your phone first.

I have a lot of FLAC music -- as good as wav - as it's LOSSLESSLY compressed so sound quality is excellent.

The music player on the android phone was absolutely HORRIBLE with clicks etc all over the place and it couldn't play flac. I cut my losses on that and took the card out of the phone and have gone back to a separate player.

This tiny Sandisk player with a decent set of Cans playing FLAC is absolutely 100% brilliant.

Bye Bye Ipod.

Cheers

jimbo

You said bye bye IPOD, but it seems you weren't using an IPOD anyway, but rather were using a Sony Player. I'm confused
