...I do have quite a number of vector files (AI, EPS) and would be great to be able to view them in thumbnail mode either on Explorer or any Image Viewing application. I'm now running Win 7 (7201) x64. I can get by with EPS on ACDSee but not the AI files, ofcourse I don't want to run Illusrator everytime I need to make any selection of any of my big number of vector files.

...Any suggestion would be highly appreciate.

Oop! My apology, guess I'd posted at the wrong place. Still desperately need advice.

I use Adobe Bridge for browsing my Graphics Files - this is the only way I know of "previewing" Ai files...

...Thanks a lot theCount, I should have though about that. I have just migrated to Win 7 and still familiar with the thumbnails view that can easily be done with XP explorer.

I did have a reg hack for Vista , but it was for showing PSD'S in explorer. let me see if i can find it for you...but I'm not sure if it works of AI or EPS to to be honest but its worth a try :D

I'll post back when i find the site i saw it on ( was about a year ago , but i got my old bookmarks backed up somewhere ).

Bridge is cool for viewing your graphics, but it become a pain sometimes.

Ive not tested this in W7 as i haven't got CS4 installed on this drive , just on Vista but its worth a try.

I hope it works for you Won.

Place the DLL in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Shell\

Thumbnail previews of PSD files should be back in explorer , You can try the AI dll as well , obviously change the drive letter if needed :D
