I bought a new PC for myself,

When I tryed to find out the temps, I couldnt...

Tryed Speedfan, Realtemp and Coretemp :(

It either shows the wrong temp or shows no temp at all...

Any help would be great and gratefull

I can see the temp in bios btw..., other than that, any other way?

Thanks
-Cee

I use rivatuner. On there it plots both GPU core temp and CPU temp. How do you know that the temps are incorrect just out of curiousity?

You're right. I was thinking of ambient temp. Sorry. Not exactly sure why your sensor is sending bad info. That's the only thing I can think of would be wrong. Those programs you used should do it.

Assuming this is the Crosshair III in your specs, what is the bios version? There have been 10 bios updates for that board since it was released, and a couple of them have to fans speeds/sensors, etc, as well as quite a few CPU updates. It is possible depending on which bios is on it now, your CPU may not be fully supported.

Also if you haven't give Asus Probe II a try. If it doesn't work then it is either a bios problem (and should be fixed with updating to the latest (1301)). Or there is a problem elsewhere with the board in general, and if that is the case I would look into contacting Asus and see what they have to say.

Hi Cee,

Core Temp does work (I've just had it working on mine), however I notice that you have a quad core processor. See the following information here: Core Temp - How it works Note that it needs to be run with administrative privileges.

View attachment 49257

To check whether it is picking up data, enter the following command in an http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html winsat formal

Coretemp dont works showing 0 degree celsius :(

On my Phenom X3 I have had a terrible time finding a program. It depends on the sensor chip on the motherboard.

The thermal sensor cable should be connected as I can see the CPU temp in BIOS.

So?

Help please

Thanks

You tried Asus Probe yet?

Also unless you are using a front panel monitoring device there is no sensor cable, it is all internal on the motherboard.

Be a good idea if nothing is working to have a good look around over here,

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Forum-

and see if any with the same board have reported the same issue.
