aol 9.6 not working on windows 7

Hi all,

Recently I purchased a Dell Inspiron N5030 running with Windows 7. Nice little laptop.

My AOL 9.6 was running perfectly well until the recent update for windows, whereby whether I uninstall, reinstall restore or whatever I still end up with a request from AOL asking to restart the laptop in order for it to complete connection to the internet.

This does not happen however when I install AOL - only from the next time it is opened.

I am also using Webroot security if that helps.

If the issue persists, we recommend that you uninstall and reinstall the AOL software. Uninstalling the AOL software removes all damaged and non-repairable files, and reinstalling the software installs new, error-free files.
