What don't you like about the HDD bays? I have a couple of Antec Sonata II's (one of my favorite cases) and an Antec P182 (which I currently have in my Win 7 box). I don't like boxes with lights and windows...I think they look cheap and tacky.

There is nothing cheap about the case. Very solidly built, and looks good.
The HDD bays are all slide out, and are just a pain. I want perpendicular drive bay.

The DVD drive bays in mine are slide out ones. You fit 4 screws to the drive and slide them in from the front. It's rock solid though :)

I didn't say the case WAS cheap.....I just said that i don't like cases with lights and windows as I feel they look cheap and tacky :). That's just my preference and there is nothing quantifiable in my statement.

I've always been a big fan of the Antec cases. I know they are solidly built and I know they can be had for a great price. That's why I wanted to know what you didn't like about the HD cage....as I often recommend and build machines for people and like to know their likes and dislikes.

Remeber when the first iMac came out. Uggg. Then you would go to a computer show and would see lime green cover or a beige box. That was worse


Give me a nice lock and rack case (server), anyday.

Ehh, I didn't understand it either at first. I, unfortunately, bought my MacBook Pro a few months ago. I was looking for a new computer, and I heard these things were just soooo awesome (that was coming from a group of Fanboys), so I decided to give it a try. Had a bunch of problems with it. Nothing hardware related, it was just that the OS kept being weird. After about 8 complete reinstalls over the course of 3 months, it seems to be working like it should. I've been into the hackint0sh business for a while so I already knew how to use OS X.

I prefer Windows 7 over OS X instantly. It's just that, since I'm on a Mac, OS X is sort of exclusive to it, so I do that for all my school work and whatnot. I still have Windows 7 on it for gaming and other things. Also have Ubuntu on here, which is just a novelty at the moment.

I still can't see the point of a mac, and the price is a joke. The base model macbook (one of them) comes with a 160GB drive standard. So where is the value?

There isn't really a value. Unless you want a computer that has a high resale value.

My take on buying a Mac is that, if you've had absolutely crappy luck with Windows and PCs in general, then get a Mac and go away.

I'm still shocked that I bought one. I just want all 3 OSs (Windows+Linux+OS X) without going through anymore hackintoshing junk.
