Solved application can not be started because the configuration is incorrect

I have a new installation of windows 7/64 bits
system:

All drivers are installed
Microsoft Office 2007 installed and working
Some games installed and working

I can not open winzip files and bit defender anymore.


I get the message:
The application can not be started because the configuration is incorrect together.
With bitdefender i've got some dll messages.

Some things done but to no solution:

System recovery: no more DLL messages but now bit defender is doing nothing.

What could be the cause of this problem?

Just my thoughts.
Bitdefender has been causing problems for some. It's been a mixed group of problems.
Suggestion: Remove Bitdefender using their online tool. Reboot and install MSE.

Some more thoughts.
Have you installed all updates for Windows 7 and Office?

Is Winzip subscription up to date?

I started up in safe mode in order to uninstall Bitdefender but i don't have permission to the windows uninstall service.
opening Winzip gives a pop up with "The application can not be started because the configuration is incorrect together."

Now i have Microsoft security essentials installed!

The problem is solved due to the install of Microsoft Visual C++2005.
