Hey ,

since I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium x64 I'm getting a wierd problem. Sometimes my Browser ( FF 3.5 , IE8 , Opera10 ) stops responding. I have to close it via Task Manager and re-open it. When viewing a video on youtube , it stops responding immediately.
I cannot use Windows Media Player , ICQ , Skype or any Internet Browser until I reboot. The event history is only giving me a " 1002 - Application Hang ".

I think it has something to do with Adobe Flash Player. If I uninstall , the problem goes away - but I cannot live without Adobe Flash ;)

My Problem is very similar to another one from this board :

I also tried uninstalling the Flash Player and reinstall it - but it doesn't help.

My System :

ECS Elitegroup A-780GM-A
2GB Geil Ultra DDR2-800 CL4
ATI HD4850 512M
Cosair VX450W PSU
Athlon 64 6000+ X2

Thanks,
Revo

PS: Sorry for my bad english :(

You can only use flash in x86 browsers.

I.E. x86 is included in the x64 Windows install.

Firefox is available in both x86 and x64, so maybe check to see which you're using.

Yeah but that doesn't really solve the problem. The error doesn't occure anylonger but Youtube doesn't work :(

I even tried : Uninstall - > Reboot - > Install ( Run as Admin ) and Reboot. It doesn't help.. very strange problem.

I have the same issue and find a "Temp" solution in this link....

Yes. It's only temp and you have to do it again and again for a period of time.....

I have the same problem Windows 7 with flash 10.x, hangs after opening IE8, runs youtube with browser close and open again.

Good news. I have finally gotten the flash player 10.1 to run after many open and close of browser without hanging (and load fast). Before doing this, can someone with this issue do the very last section * first (in case it could be resolve). I cannot do so because I have uninstalled software prior the next step.

I uninstalled Acrobat Reader, Adobe flash and Adobe reader MUI and a weird thing acrobat.com in the Program and Feature. Then reinstall latest adobe flash 10.1. Now immediately after installation, I ran youtube and IE8 hang but the good news is, after reboot, it is OK.

* There is another thing which I did prior launching youtube after reboot. I turn off Display all website in compatibilty View checkbox under Tools> Compat View setting.

Sorry, my previous procedure does not solve the after sleep/hibernate and re-launch hang issue from flash player but the following does the resolve nicely. I recalled some forumer has issue with flash player on older ATI drivers so did the same.

Problem solved, I reinstalled with the newest version of the ATI driver Catalyst Control Centre 10.8. Now I can put computer to sleep, wake up and play youtube. No hangs :)
