Applications running java locks up.

Hi,

Would it be a RAM or CPU issue causing an application lockup? When I run two online applications, one of them locks up. One uses 348 meg of memory [java Platform SE Binary] and the other uses 419 meg of memory [java].

The pc has 4gb of ram and 3 GHz cpu. Please advise.

A question about missing information, which version of JAVA are you running? You can go to java.com: Java + You and check if you have the latest. Also, what are the applications? Maybe someone else had the same problem.

I am guessing you need java to run certain things, Bit for security ideally it should be uninstalled. It is a major security risk.

Have you tried using Control Panel, Programs and Features to Uninstall JAVA then install the latest from java.com: Java + You
