Apply button is greyed out

Hey,

If I open up anything and change it's settings, the apply button is greyed out. The settings change but once I restart they are back to what they were before.

I think I'd start out by performing some basic scans to see if something has damaged or corrupted your operating system. I'd start out by running a full scan with your anti-virus. From your system specs it shows you're using Avast. Avast has a good reputation but even if a full scan comes back clean, I'd follow up with a couple more free on-demand scanners like Malwarebytes or ESET Online Virus Scanner.

If those additional malware scans come back clean I'd next run a System File Checker scan from an elevated command prompt. (See Option Two, this tutorial.)
