I know very little about hardware so is there a big difference between a APU and a CPU.
Thanks

Not that much, it's like any CPU with integrated graphics, but they are enchanced, more powerful, and a lot more RAM dependant.

The new FM2 socket is incredible. Not only is the gpu powerful enough to have a good eyefinity setup, but the CPU is not that bad itself! Such a huge improvement over FM1

Apu's are killers with laptops.
However, it will NOT be a gaming laptop, keep this in mind.

I think it means it won't compete with laptops that have a discrete graphics card. Anything with a discrete graphics cards will tear through real life performance vs. APUs in general.

No, I meant that in terms of integrated graphics, a Laptop with an APU will beat any other laptop in a budget range that also has integrated graphics.
