Are my Drivers Up to Date?

While, I am preparing for Windows 10. I need to know if my drivers are up to date.

Can someone help me on seeing if they are?

This is a fairly new install if I recall correctly JJ ?

Regardless if they aren't windows update will install the ones best for win-10
You have 7 home premium so that will become 10 Home version which windows updates will do all of the work for you

Okay. Thanks, Thrashzone. But, there is a Chipset driver update for my sister's laptop. She has an Intel processor. Every time I try to update it, it fails.

Hi,
Chipset drivers are an interesting one M$ does offer those through the update system once they are classified/ verified.

Talk us/ me through the download and install process you or she did,
Post a screen shot of the error message.

It would download in a zip folder,
Once it's downloaded you'd go to the downloads folder through the browser your using,
Right click the zip folder and click on extract all use the default location which would be in the downloads folder,
click on the setup.exe/ application for 32 bit or 64 bit and confirm the changes and restart when/ if prompted too.

You might of downloaded the wrong bitness is all I can think of or clicked on the wrong setup.exe ?

I was trying to download and install it through Intel (R) Driver Update Utility 21. It went through the process and failed. I then looked up the same Chipset version to install it from the web from zip folder and it still failed.

Hi,
Well lets see here,
Once before I recommended going to the computer manufactures site and using the snid located on the same label as the windows activation key,
Search for current released drivers/ chipset......

What does the manufacture site say is current ?

One heads up might be to right click the .zip folder before you extract and click on Properties,
See if there's a Unblock listing on the bottom of the General or security section of the properties.

If that does not help post what security she has installed and all screen shots I requested prior.

Jesse, you update drivers through device manager, click on an item to update the driver, if windows tells you you have the latest then that`s it.

A company will usually put out 1 chipset driver for a board and that`s it, there`s no need to try and update it.
