Are there any programs using to permanently destroy the data on drives

Hi eveyone.
I would respectfully like to ask somebody at this splendid forum this question.
Are there any programs using to permanently destroy the data on hard drives in case somebody wants to sell their drives? If any, could let me know?

It woulld be greatly appreciated if you could help me.

WipeDrive is a great program . You could wipe the drive from within windows just data and leave windows or boot of the disc

CCleaner also has an option for such things. It's in Tools => Drive wiper. It can delete either the empty space (so that deleted files become unrecoverable) or the whole disk, blowing up ALL your data, programs, and all. For selling the drive, that's the option you're after.

I really formated the hard drive and also deleted the partition to be unllocated. However, I was asking that if I had sold the hard drive, could a buyer be able to recover all my datas(Anything) were stored in it?
I really tried deleting a hard dirve, also formated it with Mini partition. Then, I recreated it. After that I chosed the Mini partition recovery wizard' . Next, I chose the newly partition created to see if it can be recovered, Finally I clicked 'quick scan', I found there were only some folders :

System Volume Information
$RECYCLE.BIN

However, both the above folders are not my personal data at all.

As a result, I think that deleting or even formating partition can permanently delete data on it.

If you want to be 100% sure, just formating the drive isn't really helpful, as it CAN be "unformated" and with the proper techniques, data from a few overwrites ago IS recoverable.
That's the purpose of all those "drive wipers" already posted, they just do dummy overwrites numerous times on the whole HD, so chance of recovery, even with special equipment, is minimal. Just to be sure, run any of those on the HD, even after reformating.

I really have been using Mini data recovery wizard after deleting or formating a partition or the whole drive. However, I found there was 'RAW' partition, when I tired restored the results, I didn't see any of my datas stored on it.
So is this program not good to resotre datas on formated or deleted partitions?
Althgough I used 'damage partition recovery' and 'lost partition recovery', in each time I found RAW partition in the result, when I restored I didn't find my movies deleted during deleting partition.

Hi,

As I told you in another thread, it is possible to recover the data from a formatted drive unless you had wiped it clean with the many wiper programs available.

If you want to recover data, you may have to try many Data recovery programs. One may click.

Hmmm... now that you had tried TestDisk in the other thread, now try it again on your formatted drive from which you want to see whether the data is recoverable.
