Hi All

I am not sure that I post in right forum. If not, please move.

Are there any way I can change Win7 theme to basic quickly ?

Reg file ? or batch file ?

Because I have a program that I often need to use and it only can run on win7 basic theme.

Up to now, this program cannot fix this, so I will change Win7 theme to basic for it.
And I will change win7 theme to normal with Aero when I finish this program.( because I more like Aero theme)So I want to edit a batch file or Reg file to change Win7 theme to basic directly.And I don't need to enter “Personalize” to change it.I know I can enter “Personalize” quickly by right clicking on my desktop.But please pardon me, I am lazy.Any suggestion would be appreciated. PS: I discover 3DMark06 will change automatically the color scheme to windows 7 basic when it run and get back again when it close. It is how to achieve this. Can anyone tell me how to get this function.

You can edit the shortcut to the program to use the Basic theme:

1. Right-click on the shortcut, go to Properties
2. On the Compatibility tab, check the box that says "Disable visual themes"
3. Click OK, then start the program with the shortcut

How about make a desktop shortcut.... go to "C:\Windows\Resources\Ease of Access Themes\basic.theme"

Right click "basic.theme" and send to desktop create shortcut.

You also an find Aero theme or saved theme in "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\" or "C:\Users\Khang Yu\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes"

and do the same thing to create shorcut.
