Are websites offers cheap windows 7 Ultimate & Professional Keys legit

I am in need of buying a affordable windows 7 license key. There are various websites which are offering keys under $40 price though they claim that they are valid and legit license keys. I have no idea and experience of buying a legit copy of windows 7 this way. I need windows 7 for limited time for my project. Should I go with buying the key or not

At that price those keys are almost certainly not legitimate. Of course they are claimed as legitimate. It would be difficult to sell them otherwise.

You might have to purchase a retail or an install-in-one-PC OEM MS Windows 7 32 & 64bit pack from a local business oriented computer store.

The only place I would buy win-7 is at Newegg.com or Amazon if it is sold and shipped by Amazon like they are sold at Newegg.com
I only noticed win-7 pro

You say that you need Windows 7 for only a limited time for your 'Project'.
So why is it important to have a Legit License Key? Seems like an awful waste of money
for a limited time use.

Do you already have a copy of the Windows 7 version that you need?

(not advocating doing anything Illegal, but just asking out of curiosity)

Just to be on the safe side. If I go without buying a key may be i got banned or other criminal action against me. If is there any way to use a windows for certain period of time then I should go for it.

Is 120 days long enough? Install Windows without a serial, works for 30 days, then slmgr /rearm gets another 30 days. Max of 3 rearms = 120 days of Windows 7.

Does it have to be Windows 7? You can download a fully legal 90 day trial version of either Windows 8 or Windows 10 from Microsoft. These are Enterprise editions.

The only way to get a copy now would be from a private seller on a site such as Amazon or Ebay. Unfortunately you would risk getting a key that's either hacked, blocked, or overused. You might find one that is unused and in a sealed box but it would likely cost a pretty penny. The last site I would have bought one from stopped selling copies months ago.
