I have a machine with an Areca 1231ML controller with my boot partition installed on it. Currently, I am running Vista Ultimate x64, and would like to upgrade to Windows 7. Does anyone have any experience upgrading Vista x64 to Windows 7 with an Areca controller? I have too much software installed on this machine to reinstall the OS from scratch, before anyone makes the suggestion...

Thanks!

I have had issues with the 1231ML and 7. On my system an Nvidia 79i Ultra I had problems with the Areca Drivers. They would not be seen when doing an upgrade. When I did a fresh install all went well. Now I have an Issue with my Hoome Server. Same problem, The drivers are not seen by the restore cd.

Oh yes, One other item I forgot about. I got a BSOD as soon as I started the machine. I do not know why yet. I think it has to do with the combination of the 7900i, a gtx 295 co-op and the areca. I had two GTX 295's in there but I got a message from the bios saying there was not enough system resources for 1/2 of the 2nd 295 to work. This is just my experience so far.
