that is assuming these people would have bought it in the first place.....such arguments and bs since downloading a game dose not meant i person would spend the cash and got it legit if the option to pirate was unavailable.

true, not every pirated copy is a sale, but collectively it does add up. I.e. If a game is pirated a thousand times in one day, you can be pretty sure that at least half those could have been potential sales had piracy not been available.
