ASUS Boot Options Issue - SSD not recognized

Some time ago I built a system around an Asus H97 Pro. I have a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (OS), 3 HDDs and a DVD W/R. All devices show in the BIOS including the Boot overide list. The system has booted fine but when I look at the Boot Priority list all I see is 2 devices - a HDD and the DVD unit. The SSD is in port 1 and when I shift it to another port it still doesn't appear in the Boot priority list. Others seem to have experienced this issue with other ASUS motherboards. Swapping sata ports was the only suggestion.
(I'm running BIOS version 2704).

Any suggestions?

Update:
This and related problems appear widespread with other Asus motherboards including Z97s.
In my case the Boot priority list only shows 2 devices when there should be 5. If I disconnect all the HDDs then the BIOS will include the SSD and the BD-ROM in the Boot priority list. When the HDDs are reconnected, the SSD still remains in the Boot priority list along with the BD-ROM :confused:

This is a late version BIOS and it's looking like an Asus BIOS/motherboard engineering problem. My confidence in Asus has dropped.

I've had the same issue with my Z87 Sabertooth with my Intel 520 not showing up, although it hsan't created any significant problems for me.

Have you tried the hard drive BBS priority? Only what is set in there will show up in the boot options.

Thanks for the responses.

It doesn't appear to causing any practical problems but it certainly is a bug that I thought ASUS would be on top of. The PC boots quite quickly.
The BBS priority list has always shown the SSD as number 1 and all 3 of the HDDs. I'm unsure what interaction there is between the boot priority list and the BBS priority list anyway.

MJF, I'm just guessing here. But, I think some places it is named the boot override priority. What distinguishes it from the boot priority, I have no idea other than you are setting the order of the hard drives you want to boot. In the boot priority, you can throw a DVD/CD drive in there or a USB drive. Like you, I have always wondered why it is there. If all of your drives are listed in Boot Priority, why not just have the boot priority and not have a BBS priority. Maybe to deselect the drives that are not bootable? But that could be done in the boot order too.

In my case the BBS lists all hard drives and the SSD. Boot Option Priorities only give me 2 options which includes the BD-ROM Drive even though the BIOS recognizes the SSD, 3x HDDs and a BD-ROM.

Boot override via the Ezy F8 first screen or Advanced mode lets me select any potentially bootable device.

The SSD is in #1 spot and I think I moved it there (a few months ago now). HDD/SSDs for BBS are easily adjustable in my BIOS.

Then I have no clue. The SSD should be #1 in the Hard Drive Boot priority, or at least appear in the options, unless you are have a UEFI install, then it should be Windows Boot Manager.
