Solved ASUS Preload Wisard Loop

So yeah.

I accidentally started the ASUS Preload Wisard (or ASUS recovery) and now I can't get rid of it. The laptop is working just fine. I only want to stop the Wisard and start up my Windows 7.

Any suggestions?

Try loading defaults in BIOS (either first screen or exit menu). BIOS is the Setup menu, should say which key to press when you start the laptop.

I also wonder if you can see traces of it with EasyBCD - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/209885-bootmgr-move-c-easybcd.html (gave the link for the download link mostly, check out different menus after you run it). Post screenshots if you see a trace, and are unsure what to do - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html

I restored optimal settings in the BIOS, but it didn't do anything.
When I press the DELETE key before Windows starts up i see an option saying:

" Windows Setup (EMC Enabled) "

Usually it's just "Windows 7" right?

Also, what do you mean by "traces"?

Trace as in an a sign of that Asus preloader.

Run EasyBCD and check the menus on the left. If you see any Asus related entry, post a screenshot.

Actually I kinda rushed the first post. Let me explain properly.

I wanted to enter the BIOS on my laptop. I mashed the F8 key. It didn't bring me to the BIOS, but to another menu. Before I could realize, the said menu opened and I pressed F8 once again by accident. That seemed to enable the ASUS Preload Wisard (or ASUS recovery).
Now every time I start up the laptop I get to ASUS Preload. Even in safe mode. When I click "Cancel" on the wizard, the laptop restarts and the wizard starts up again. It's a loophole.

I am currently writing from another device - my desktop PC.

Anyway, the program you suggested. I'm not sure how I can install/run in on the laptop.

No problem, I still think your bootmgr is messed up.

Try to boot with Windows repair disk and perform a startup repair. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html
