Good news for ASUS fans - B3 revisions of their Sandy Bridge boards will be shipping ahead of schedule!
Following Intel's massive SATA II snafu on desktop Sandy Bridge motherboards, we'd not been expecting new product until some time in April. But ASUS just announced that it's gotten into production early on replacement boards, and its stock will be starting to ship this week.

I installed the stock 140mm case fan outside of case then installed the H70+ 1 of its 120mm fans inside case. Used the 2nd 120mm from the H70 to go in the Gpu tunnel.
230mm Front,200mm side,200mm top,120mm Gpu tunnel,120mm&140mm on H70.
I heard a few days ago that Intel was supplying the replacement chips to motherboard makers a bit sooner than anticipated.

But I'd guess the heavy hitters like Dell and HP will get the first batch of motherboards--before retail dealers.

We shall see.

We still don't know the details of Intel's/retailers plan to replace the boards already sold.

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.

I read somewhere that the new chips were to ship out around the 14 of feb. but can not remember where I read that.
Very true about not knowing how they will handle the replacement of boards(replacement first or just a free-for-all to get them)

I'm just trying to find out if anyone has heard about boards shipping soon instead of April-ish? Asus,Gigabyte...ect.. I have a lot of new stuff just sitting in the corner waiting for a board....See post HERE
