Asus Ux31e laptop shows in HomeGroup but Server says Ux31e not sharing

Hello sevenforums users and gurus !!
This is my first post here, so I hope I don't make to many etiquette mistakes !!
My laptop (scouf-pc=Homegroup name) used to work fine connected to the Homegroup run by my generic intel i7 2600k win7 pro server desktop (adm-pc)...then I decided (I theorize this as source of problem but am not sure...) to haved a go a writing my own elementary service and installing it on scouf-pc...anyway, at some point I removed the test service (Srv but also xsrv), and having trouble resorted to diverse permutations on :
regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\xsrv failure=>sys\msizap T srv.exe
Finally got it removed and thought all was well, but on next connection to Homegroup the following ensued...more fix permutations follow :
