Asus X54C sound not working

Hello, I have an asus x54c, my sound isnt working. It works with head phones. I tested the microphpone and speakers, and both have the green bars moving. However, I cannot hear a sound whether its youtube or anything else.

I tried using hdmi today and the sound worked through the tv. The green abrs are still moving but no sound yet.

Another thing is when I run confgure device, i get the message hardware changes might not be detected
