Having some trouble with this, only one program can record at any given time.
I cant for example use skype and ventrilo at the same time, I cant even have windows sound control panel open and skype at the same time, I wont see the bars moving.

And another thing is that every recording input says Currently Unavailable

And another thing I just noticed is that the volume is super duper low in skype but in ventrilo it is fine...
edit: microphone is low whatever I do now, was fine at first, I have tried to reinstall but it did nothing.

And I have the latest drivers I could find.

I have similar problems - inputs currently unavailable (and the record sliders are missing from Asus Audio Center).
The mic seems to work ok, despite the lack of other options.
I had BSOD when I tried to update drivers to 7.12.8.1777 - and again when I tried to uninstall+delete them, to start from scratch.
Driver rollback didn't work either - had to do a system restore, to just before I updated drivers.
Tried disabling+uninstalling onboard Realtek sound but Win7 just re-installs it on reboot.
Tried plugging stuff into input sockets (they have detection) but still nothing.

With regard to your 'only one program at a time' - look at Properties, in sound dialog box.
On the Advanced tab, there's tickboxes for Exclusive Mode - try unchecking those.

Update: found a solution (from Asus forums) to BSOD on driver install...
Before unzipping, I right-clicked rar file, Properties, Unblock. Installed fine then.
A different problem now, is there's a graphical glitch which causes Audio Center menu to appear mostly grey, with just a small area showing in topleft corner.
Have seen posts from people elsewhere, with same problem. No solution yet.

Don't be fooled by the 'Junior' thing. I just don't post a lot.
I've been building/configuring/fault-finding PC's since Win3.11 and DOS6.2.2
I learned machine code on an 8086 & BASIC on a Commodore Pet, so I've been there from Early Days!
There's not much about PC's I'm unfamiliar with. I'm just here to find solutions to the problems Win7 presents. Not because I'm dumb or clueless.
@ Moffasin

recording input sound is super low on these cards. If you go to the asus forums and seach a bit (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Forum-), you will find it's a long known problem that most likely isn't going to be fixed.

Might try disabling the onboard realtek controller in the BIOS.
