Solved Ateebam not sure if i have a movie maker on windows 7

i've been trying to put home movies on disc using windows dvd maker and they
come out with no sound. several people i ask about it say i need to use a movie maker and that i should have one with window 7. any advice would be appreciated

You may be having a conversion issue with the audio your recording device or media source is using.
First step would be to install a codec pack.
The least problematic one I know of is cccp
CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack
If the problem is just that you are missing the ac3 audio codec that will solve it.


If not-

I would also suggest you attempt your conversions using one of the free utilities available as they do generally support more media types than the standard dvd maker that comes with windows (which does generally work without issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case for you.)

Here is what I use personally.

It will recode your media to the proper dvd structure and format then create a image you can burn.

If you have downloaded Windows Live Essentials 2011, you will find that Windows Live Moviemaker is part of the deal.

Just go to Start>All Programs>Windows Live>Windows Live Moviemaker after you've installed Live Essentials.

Don't know if you were aware, but you can also upload your Movie Maker videos to You Tube and Facebook.
