ATi 2600 hd Via Chipset Windows 7

hi i have a radeon 2600 hd pro 512 (agp) and im using a Abit AV8 motherboard which is a VIA motherboard not nforce i have tried all the drivers ...nothing works.......tried the original ati drivers nope........tried the sapphire drivers nope......why make a card that aint gonna work on windows 7

the 1.1 microsoft drivers are completly rubbish......cant run anything graphical like a game or that no good !!!

So what you want to do is right click on the card in device manager. Properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste results here so I can make you a custom .inf to use in the process outlined in the link instead of the one there.

Here's your .inf. PCI in this case does not mean it's a PCI card. That's standard output for all cards.

i no this must sound stupid but what do i do with it lol i no inf is a driver file but other from that im lost O.O

Look up above at post #2. Use my .inf I already gave you instead of the one there, in the process.

ok i tried that but every time i go to browse and pick the folder the file is in eg.C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF it dosent show any inf files just the B_89222 folder so what i do is click w7inf folder then click ok but then it shows

nah its still not showin it in the list i set it to show hidden files and operating system files im goin to pm you with my teamviewer session id and password mabey im doing somthing wrong but i dont see it

When you extract from the ATI installer, it places an .inf where I said. You have to copy the one I made for you over it by overwriting. Choose "copy and replace."

Then refer to that .inf in the install process.

No team viewer. I'd have to charge $200/hr for that.

i no where it goes i have overwritten the inf file in the C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF directory its when i go to browse it dont show it even when i set folders and operating files to show it dosnt show the inf in the list

ok i figured out what i was doing wrong ...sorry for wasting time.......the steps i did was this

device manager..update driver software......browse my computer for driver.......let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer......then i clicked have disk......then it gave the unsigned warning
