ATI AMD Radeon HD 6300M Series (HP) not detected in dxdiag

hay

i have an hp pavilion dm4 laptop with intel i5 and 4 gb ddr3 ram and 2gb ati graphics card(ATI AMD Radeon HD 6300M Series (HP))
a software shows specification as ati is available but when i see dxdiag option its showing like standard VGA adapter . i have tried installing ati catalyst control center and some other drivers from amd but still no use .

i need help to get the graphics card working..

driver updated through device manager

i have updated the driver through device manager but after restart the screen turns black but normal start up works fine and only display seems to be black. so i had to re install windows to work again

now after amd update it started showing amd graphics card in display section of device manager with a message to update driver . . last time also same happen and after updating driver black screen comes

Yes no Driver has been Installed for the Graphics .... What is the Model Number of your Laptop ?...

i have updated drivers and some changes are there which is so far so good but my graphics shows two types like the pictures below

Yes that seems to be correct you have the Intel HD and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370

I have almost the same model as you.
Switchable graphics are for power saving (Intel HD) only using your processor, or for gaming using the the power hungry ATI Graphics(I recommend being plugged in when gaming).
You can switch graphic cards depending if you are running on battery, or at a desk plugged in to wall power.

I just fixed mine in the past few days an it can be a real troublesome effort.
There is a correct order to uninstall and reinstall you software.
Please, did you delete your recovery partition that has your W7 in it?
