ATI drivers/2400HD

I have a weird issue here, i think....
Running Win7 Ult 64bit on an HP proliant server ML110, all been working fine so far with ATI HD2400 pro. After deciding to upgrade from 2gb to 4gb the card is no longer recognised. There seems to be a limit on memory here as if I leave 3gb in it's fine. At 4gb the card is no longer listed in dev manager and cannot be installed as the driver install pack complains that there is no compatible card installed.

Any one else had this issue?

Not that I've read about. all though it sounds like you may have a bad stick of ram. Did you purchase the 2gb's as a pair? And if so are they a match to the existing ram?
What you could try is to download memtest86 Memtest86 - Download Page

Take out all the ram except for 1 of the new sticks and run the program through at least 5 passes, if no errors then replace it wit the other stick and repeat the process.
This will help determine if you have a bad stick and which one it is

It's a weird issue that your card isn't recognized with all 4 never read about this issue before but this should get you started with a diagnosis. Fabe

This is indeed an odd issue. All four 1GB sticks are the same Kingston branded and identical model numbers. With all four sticks in the BIOS ram test perfors fine and system reads 4GB on POST and in Windows. In addition to this the systems performs as expected with this much ram (ie speed increase).

I have swap tested the RAM, new and old sticks, and each time the system performs in the same way. So whilst first instinct is faulty RAM it's staring to look like a whole different issue.
