hey there,

i've got 2 graphics cards, one (radeon 5770) keeps crashing in BF3 and then gives me the error battlefield3.exe has stopped working. nothing else.

the other (radeon 6970 upgrade from the 5770) keeps crashing when it reaches 59 degrees celcius since i last upgraded the drivers.

any solutions/advice from you pro's?

thanks,
Cambria

well a 6970 should breeze through bf3 as my 6950 does.

If its a new card, take it back, 59c is not dangerously hot so shouldn't cause an issue.

you say since you updated the driver, is that from the cd in the box to 11.13? or jsut a resent thing from 11.10-11.13 ect?

Have you tried rolling back the driver in device manager to see if it still crashes?

Fabe

i didn't get a cd with the 6970, and the driver i updated from was 11.11 to 11.12

rolling back the driver to 11.11 or 11.10 still crashes

EDIT: the 6970 is quite new, about 2 months so i'll send it back

havee you overclock your card graphic if yes reset the cores speed and how memory you have if you have 1-2gb ram upgrate it to 3-5gb because you slow down your graphic card so the cpu is not problem and what power supply you have if it is small take a better....... and good luck :)
