OK I committed to a buy finally. The ATI HD 4770. The reviews looked good on both tigerdirect and newegg. Although it's a mid-level card I couldn't beat the deal, $94.99 and free shipping. I think it will fit nicely with my rig.

Just placed an order for a XFX 4770. I had a hard time choosing between a 4770 over a 4850. The 4770 is $10 more but with MiR it's $5 cheaper, I don't count on rebates. My decision came down to this:

XFX HD4770:

+ Smaller profile
+ Requires less power
++ A lot less heat and noise
++ More overclocking potential
++ 512mb GGDDR5
+++ Lifetime warranty

- More expensive and slower @ stock speed

PowerColor HD4850:

+ Cheaper and faster @ stock speed

- Bigger profile
- Requires more power
-- Runs a lot hotter and noisy
-- Less overclocking potential
-- 512mb GDDR3
--- 2 year warranty
