An update for those still following these issues. I have solved (for my motherboard anyway) both the big mouse problem and streaming/HD fullscreen playback crashing issue at the same time.

I made 2 recent changes so can't really say which of the two solved my issue but I suspect it was the latter.

First, a new bios just came out for my ASUS M3A32-MVP a week or two ago (1903) it stated changes were for newer CPU support and that's it but nonetheless I did it.

Second, I turned down my HT overclock from 2.2Ghz back to stock 1.8Ghz after reading on some forum somewhere a reference to memory overclock and the fullscreen problem.

It has been a few days now and am happy to report BOTH issues are gone.

PS - on a side note, this new BIOS has my CPU running 7-8 degrees cooler with no changes to my system on high performance settings.

A320, you bring up a decently widespread issue and also a fix for it, I can confirm the latter of the two is what fixes it, Im on driver v9.12 with an asus 5770 and changing the memory frequency back to stock fixed the issue. I was so annoyed with that fat mouse but I like how the 5770 performs so ill just be waiting for amd to act because i enjoy oc'ing.

Glad it worked for you and it's too bad it won't play nice with higher HT's cause the rest of my system was doing fine with an HT clock all the way up to 2.4ghz.

Hi guys. I recently bought a gigabyte 5870 gpu. I had problems with the big cursor and my computer freezed while watching movies. I installed some Fix that i found on the forums and the fat cursor issue was resolved, but the freezes still happen, especialy when watching videos on-line and when watching movies with media player classic. While using media player 10 or 11 the freezes rarely occur. I didnt overclock the card, so it works on default settings.

How about your motherboard, is it overclocked at all?
