ATI Radeon 4870 shuts down

I can play Counter Strike Source fine, but if I for instant start CoD 4 Modern Warfare I get a "HDMI not connected" thing and I have to use the reset button.

I think the error is HDMI out of range. Make sure you have instaled the driver for your LCD. If it has one, cause I don't see your LCD listed on Benq site. Also do you have the latest patches installed for that game? BenQ USA - Tri-band, GSM 900/1800/1900MHz

It's not the screen, but the graphic card itself.

Fan stops etc.

In that case I would remove the card after shutting down the system and unplugging it, making sure I have grounded myself to avoid any static charge. Then I would visually inspect the card for any capacitors that may have blown caps or rounded tops and not leaking. The fan shutting down is not a good sign.

The hole card. I think its because of overheating, and I increased the fan speed with Rivatuner, but the problem occur just sometimes..

Then when you have the card out , or with it in after following the shut down procedure. Get some canned air and try blowing out the fan. Dust bunnies have been known to get clogged in the fan and heatsink fins and cause overheating.

I "airblow" my PC every week, so I doubt that is the problem.
