I just installed Win7 Pro 32-bit on my old IBM/Lenovo T60p and everything is great except for my video card driver... Even though I've downloaded and installed the Win7 drivers from Lenovo's website, windows insists on using the standard VGA graphics adapter and wont let me change to the ATI drivers. As a result, I only have access to 16Mb of graphics memory and can't run any of my more graphics-intensive programs. Any ideas?

Install driver manually using device manager. Right click card, update driver, browse, let me pick, have disk, browse, now find the .inf in the extracted folder that the setup previously created.

Use Vista driver to do this if there are no 7 drivers. There probably are not since you said it's old. I couldn't check because I don't have specific enough info from you on your machine type for your model number.

Have you done any Windows updates? After installing 7 x64 and visiting Windows update, a driver update for my X1400 was available.

Ah that worked, kegobeer. I had downloaded and installed the critical updates, but not the optional ones yet. Who would have thought that Microsoft would actually make it easy? Thanks for the replies!
