attachment problems

every time i try to open an attachment it starts and wont stop i end up getting loads of the same attachment i have to close down the computer to stop it it as if a button has got stuck

Does this happen for every attachment or a specific one?

What kind of attachment? On a email? Please explain in more details what you're trying to do.

down load problems

ok so i get an attacment with an email from a trusted friend i open it it starts and will not stop down loading this happens to all downloads i have tried save as but it still dose it when i open its as if i am holding down a button or some thing has got stuck any ideas ?

Please edit your profile with ALL your hardware specs.

Lets do the basic.
- Open a CMD window and type chkdsk c: /f. It will ask if you want to check on next boot = Yes. Reboot and pay attention on the results.
- Open a CMD window and type sfc /scannow

To open the Command Prompt with Administrator rights:

• Open the Start Menu
• Type "command" in the Search box (without the quotes)
• Right click on "Command Prompt"
• Choose "Run as administrator" in the Context Menu
