Attempting to print from a MacBook Pro to a Windows 7 printer

Hello,

Attempting to print from a MacBook Pro to a Windows 7 PC attached printer. The printer is not Wi-Fi enabled. I have found several instructions on how to connect the printer but I still can not see my printer on the MAC.

I have setup a Homegroup that my other Windows 7 and 8.1 laptops can print to my printer.

What information do I need to supply in order to be able to allow the MAC to be able to print?

I don't know much about Macs but in theory it should be enough to add your mac to your other PCs workgroup. There is an old article I found about that: How do I… Add Macs To A Windows Workgroup? - TechRepublic

It's based on XP but the process should be mostly the same.
