audio issue

audio works fine on everything except internet, if i try to watch any video on youtube or yahoo, no audio. cds play fine, system sample music works fine. i'm puzzled!

Have you opened sndvol (start menu type sndvol) and checked that your system doesn't have a independent slider for internet sound?

I know several fixes for this, one of them involves a somewhat risky registry edit though. So let's start with the basics.

See my edit above for the registry method @link, just make sure you follow the directions. That fix seems to work for the majority of people with your problem.
