Hi there.

Yesterday everything was fine, sound was working perfectly on Windows and on Youtube etc. However today when I came onto my computer I realised that the sound on the computer still worked, i.e, start up sound, wmp, itunes and VLC, but when I went onto the internet none of the sounds were working.

I've spent about 4 hours searching the web trying to find a fix to this problem, my speakers aren't muted or anything like that and I've run a virus test and there aren't any problems there... anyone got any clues?

Thanks.
Connor.

As it worked OK yesterday but not today, use the System Restore and restore the PC back to yesterday's date (or an earlier date when it did work OK). That is a first step.

System Restore can be accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools.
