Hello...

So, I've bought Asus K52JT-SX067V and I've got Fraps... Quickly realized it will record only sound from mic... Searched for Stereo Mix in settings, but only mic is shown (I have "show inactive devices" activated)... Installed drivers from Realtek webpage, but still same... Can anyone help?

P.S.: Sorry for my English if I do any mistake ;)

The user is not having a problem with a recording program, they are having problems because they do not have the "System Mixer" that is needed for recording.

Try reinstalling the Asus supplied sound drivers and see if that helps. Many times the actual PC vendor drivers will work better than generic drivers. Do you have both Show "disabled" and "disconnected" devices in the Sound panel/Recording?

If you use Audacity, it woks without having to alter the sound settings.

Depends on what you want to record. I have a recording studio (Sonar) but also have Audacity and several other recording programs. Audacity will record from the mic, line in or system mixer - depending on what is needed. If you want to record streaming audio from the internet or "what you hear" on the PC speakers the system mixer is needed. Audacity will not take the place of the system mixer and record without it.

exactly... tried other apps and same... I can record from mic only... and sound card is with main card (or w/e it's called in English) so I can't change it... any other way to get stereo mix or something like that?

Do you have both Show Disconnected and Disabled Devices in the Sound/Recording Panel? I can't find any information, in English, for that model on the ASUS site.

Uninstall the RealTek device AND the Drivers, then restart the PC, with the PC on-line and when Windows starts it will detect the sound and install the drivers. That may help. I know you installed the RealTek drivers, but if the old drivers were not uninstalled and the PC rebooted first you could have the same problem.

Nothing else that I can think of to try.
