OK, this sounds kinda wacky, but I want a loud (freeware!) SIREN for my Win7 machine. Why? Because my remote, and tech naive relative sometimes leaves her phone off the hook, and I need to tell her that. So I use vnc to put a big message on her screen "HANG UP THE $%^&*() PHONE!!!" and want to start the siren to make her look at it.

Alarm clocks are nice, but the alarm just goes off and ... stops. I want an earthshaking siren that goes off and keeps going off.

It's either that or bothering her neighbors (who are separate enough that a siren won't bother them!)

Strange request mate but I would reckon if somehow you could make the machine flash the screen and make the noise then it (the machine) would need to be hooked up to an outside audio source say a small sound system - turned up to max.

What software would do that I don't know but will have a look and there may a setting in the Control Panel > Sounds to do that:)

Well, if you can have an alarm clock that rings to get your attention, and then stops, surely there is some way of producing such noise in a manner that doesn't stop?

Sure, I could make an hour long mp3 of a grating noise, and just play it when I want to get attention. But geez, it's gotta be easier than that.

I want a loud buzzer that doesn't stop buzzing!

Could it be that the person that leaves the phone off the hook, intends it to be off the hook so it doesn't ring?
