hello.

I want my computer to auto detect when I plugin my headset and change the sound output to it.

currently I have 2 sound jacks, one at the front of the computer and one at the rear, and a speaker inside the computer (built in)
to the back jack i have my regular speakers and the front I plug my headset when i want to use them.

the problem is that every time i want to use my headset i need to go to the "playback devices" menu and switch it manually. then when I unplug my headset the in-speaker goes on, and I need to go back to the "playback devices" and change back to the rear sound jack.

with my old computer (xp) all this was done automatically (though I didn't have a in-speaker).

I don't have a sound card- its all on board - and I don't know what chip-set or whatever is in charge of the sound, so I don't know if installing the right driver will do the trick. in the meantime I am using Microsoft default drivers.

is there any way to set a priority list for my sound output?

thanks for the help!
