So been reading up on this and I just cannot wrap my head around this and most of the Google searches I see are more related to networks with many servers talking to each other.
My set up is I have computers behind a router. I have 4 connected to a TEG-s8g and I have 2 connected to the router straight in.
Most of the systems are Windows 7 except for two; which are XP with Gb on board LAN.
So I was just wondering is there a difference from auto-negotiate or setting them all to Gb speeds? The only thing I have that is not Gb is my network printer which runs at 100Mb. That printer is also connected to the TEG.
I am having no issues, I am just wondering if setting one or another is detrimental or helpful. I basically want some insight. Thanks
